Where do you want to get married?
The answer to that question is a big deal! Do you imagine a country wedding or a fancy black tie affair? Do you want to keep it small with close friends and family or is a huge party more your style? Knowing what you want will make finding a venue much easier. In fact, finding the perfect wedding venue is one of the most important (and first) decisions you should make. But it can be a little overwhelming, huh?
Don't worry, we're here to help. Here are a few questions to get you started:
In which city do you want to get married?
Do you want to elope, have a destination wedding or get married where you live? Once you know where you're getting married it will be easier to look for a specific location.
What is your budget?
Before booking a venue it's important to know your overall budget. Far too often couples reserve a location then realize they don't have enough money left for the rest of the wedding!
How many guests will you have?
Knowing the size of your wedding will make it easier to choose a venue.
What type of venue are you looking for?
Do you want a religious ceremony, to be married outdoors or in a rustic barn?
Do you have a specific wedding date in mind or are you flexible?
Being flexible might give you more options (and save you money). It can be harder to book a venue for a weekend in June, but you'll have more option you're willing to get married on a Friday evening in fall.
